About Me
Welcome to Bajadad. I’m Bookta, once a stay-at-home dad living in Mexico, now parenting from across borders.
My Story
I grew up in Montserrat, surrounded by family, sunshine, and the Caribbean rhythm of life. Years later, Bajadad was born amidst Mexico’s colorful culture. For a long while, I was there every day—chasing toddler feet, fixing breakfast, and building forts.
Then life changed. Due to some hard choices, I now live in the UK and parent from afar. Despite the distance, my presence hasn’t faded—it’s transformed.

Why I Write
Because fatherhood doesn’t fit only one story. It’s messy, hard, constantly evolving—and distance doesn’t mean absence. My goal is simple:
-
Share what works/helps
-
Admit what doesn’t
-
Connect with dads who get it—even (especially) if they’re far away
